Africa is endowed with natural attractions that when well utilized would contribute to enormous sustainable socio-economic growth, job creation and transformation of the continent. The sector contributes 5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), 30 percent of service exports, and 235 million jobs. It is estimated that by the year 2030 consumer spending on Africa tourism, hospitality and recreation would reach about $261.77 billon, $137.87 billion more than 2015.
Inspite of these prospects tourism in Africa is still at an early stage of development and strongly connected with more general and long standing development challenges, including infrastructure and security.
Under Africa Tourism Development, Kwakaf International is working with the public and private sector decision makers and the international community to encourage investment in sustainable tourism development.
We are happy to work with the investor community to tap into one of Africa’s most booming cultural and socio-economic sector.
